Emma won a Veteran's Day essay contest at school and was invited to read her essay to the local VFW group. She also won $25 - and of course she will spend the money on a Christmas present for her mama! (12/11/08)

Dickie and Adam headed to Baton Rouge to go to the LSU-Ole Miss game with Christian and Luke Lewis. They had a blast! Thanks to Christian for arranging the trip!

The Beginning of Blogging

I have succumbed to the peer pressure and have started a blog for the Crawfords. I make no promises on keeping it up-to-date -- I only promise to post when there is time. For those of you who haven't visited with us in a while, we have been in Ruston for a whopping 14 1/2 years. Emma is 13 (14 in February) and in the 8th grade, and Adam is 11 (12 in February) and in the 6th grade. Dickie is still at La. Tech as the Dean of Student Life. I have been with Lincoln HealthCare for the last 3 1/2 years as Director of Finance. Both children moved to Cedar Creek School last year and love it (as much as they can love school). Emma is singing with the high school ensemble and currently practicing for a play, Coming Home, on Jan. 30-31. She is also taking Japanese lessons and is very impressive with her vocabulary! Adam is playing Upward Basketball and loves to play the PlayStation and Wii. I guess that's a good intro for us. Stay tuned for more updates on our crazy schedule!
